Scott Michaels

Scott Michaels, Hollywood’s original authority on celebrity deaths, is a guest on E!’s 20 Most Horrifying Murders and has been featured on CNN. He is the producer and host of Six Degrees of Helter Skelter, Dearly Departed, Volume I and Dearly Departed, Volume II and the host of a podcast where he gets the scoop on behind the scenes of celebrity deaths. Scott is co-author of Rocky Horror: From Concept to Cult and owns a one-of-a-kind Rocky Horror collection of set memorabilia that is on display in his Gallery. Scott Michaels became interested in death since attending his first funeral at the age of 3. He began his career in death by manning Hollywood’s infamous Grave Line Tours until he moved to England. There, he founded the website, chronicling the last days of celebrities lives and deaths. Upon his return to the US, and Grave Line itself deceased, Scott saw the opportunity to fill the hole in the market with celebrity dirt by starting Dearly Departed Tours in 2005. Brian Donnelly

Being a tour guide is a perfect match for Brian’s love of trivia, history, teaching and talking. Los Angeles Magazine says of him, “Of the scores of tour drivers who ply their trade in Hollywood, he’s widely acknowledged as the best, the one who combines an encyclopedic knowledge with an irresistible patter.” When he’s not working, Brian spends his time pretending he’s a Hollywood tourist. An avid explorer he chronicles the architecture and quirks of life in Hollywood through photography and video. Richard Sebastian

Richard J. Sebastian joined Scott Michaels at Dearly Departed Tours in 2008. He also at that time brought the Nasty Nellie Oleson Tour Of Hollywood with him as he and his friend Alison Arngrim who played Nellie Oleson on the classic television series “Little House On The Prairie” created that tour for her. Richard grew up on the stage in New England and after he graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a BA degree in Theatre in 1986, and after conquering the stage there, moved out to LA and got into commercials, television & film. Hollywood has been very kind to him and he feels so lucky. He starred in a film with Lyle Waggoner entitled “Dream A Little Evil” and another film also with Lyle called “Murder Weapon.” It’s appropriate that he did horror films and ends up doing tours in Hollywood about some of the real murders/horrors Hollywood has to offer. Richard enjoys being an actor and his passions are entertaining people either on the screens both little and big, in a theatre or riding around in a van sharing tours in Hollywood. He credits being a fun and knowledgeable tour guide to Scott Michaels who truly did teach him the ropes on giving great tours. Thank you Scott!!!! It doesn’t get any better than getting to work with your friends. My mother always told me, “find something you love to do Richard and you will never work a day in your life”. It was great advice. Thanks mom for helping me lead the best life ever……I miss you with all my heart!

Mike Andrews

Mike is a native Angelino, hearse owner, and lover of all things macabre. He’s been a tour guide for a decade and hooked up with Dearly Departed Tours in 2016. His years in security at high profile clubs bring some pretty snappy stories to his tours.

Office Staff: Kathleen Campbell

Kathleen is a docent at several important Los Angeles locations and brings her love of Hollywood to our front desk.

Terry Bolo

If you’ve seen the film Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, you’ve seen Terry as one of the biker chicks. If you’ve seen Carrie – Terry was a mean girl! (plug it up!). A historian, guide and all around wonderful person, terrific Terry will greet you with a smile on the weekends.

Elisa Jordan

Elisa Jordan founded L.A. Woman Tours in 2012 to give tours about a couple of her favorite subjects, Marilyn Monroe and The Doors. She has since expanded to include Jean Harlow and rock ’n roll. She partnered with Dearly Departed Tours a couple of years ago to improve guest experience—better vans, good people, top historians. When she’s not giving tours, she’s researching. Elisa’s book, Rockhaven Sanitarium – the Legacy of Agnes Richards, was published in October 2018.
